What to Expect
When you arrive at Island Dentures, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly, professional staff. They will ask you to fill in our New Patient Form, which you could download and fill out in advance if you choose.
After your form is processed, you’ll meet with the denturist, who will be able to answer all of your questions and make recommendations on what may work for you. Our goal is to provide you with information so you can make an informed decision.
Getting Dentures
Every type of denture requires approximately five appointments. Here’s what you can expect on your way to a new smile:
First appointment: Consultation, treatment plan and preliminary impressions are taken.
Second appointment: Final impressions taken to begin building your new smile.
Third appointment: Bite registration and tooth selection for aesthetics.
Fourth appointment: The try-in. Jason will construct a set of wax dentures for you to take home and consider before the final dentures are created. There is no pressure to hurry this process. It’s your smile and we want you to be happy.
Fifth appointment: The final finish and insertion of your new dentures.
From start to finish, a regular denture can be completed in two weeks. Specialized BPS dentures can be created in two to three weeks.
